Safety Features

The Conquest has been designed from the outset with the safety of the rider as the prime concern.

Stability is engineered into the design of each Conquest, not least by the use of a wide, robust aluminium chassis. Stability under braking and under abrupt directional change has been demonstrated thoroughly during testing at the UK's Millbrook Proving Ground Facility.

The front and rear ventilated disc brakes themselves has been specified for use by The Conquest and are linked and balanced to ensure controllable, short braking distances.

The secure location of the driver and wheelchair in The Conquest is assured by use of an industry standard wheelchair locking mechanism.

Interlocks ensure that The Conquest can not be driven without the wheelchair securely locked in place and the tailgate / ramp in the correct position.
